WE BELIEVE our relationship to God is central to our faith

Through our worship we want to:

  • celebrate the joy of knowing God
  • acknowledge God’s presence among us
  • open ourselves to God for strength and guidance

We also want to work at this relationship:

  • by using the Bible as our guide to grow in our values and beliefs
  • and by seeking God’s Kingdom in our daily lives

WE BELIEVE that as a church we are a part of the Body of Christ

We want to grow towards greater unity by:

  • our commitment to worship, fellowship and service activities
  • affirming each other, rather than tearing each other down
  • respecting each other, rather than always expecting agreement

As people forgiven, healed, nurtured, challenged and reconciled by God, we want to share these gracious acts of God:

  • with each other, as committed brothers and sisters
  • by passing our faith on to the next generation
  • with new seekers in our midst

As one congregation among many in the Body of Christ we want:

  • to work and fellowship together with other Mennonite congregations
  • to participate and support the conferences we are members of both regionally and worldwide
  • to also fellowship, cooperate and learn from other Christian communities of faith both locally and beyond

WE BELIEVE that as a church, we are in our community for a purpose

We want to be a Christian presence in our community through:

  • recognizing that our motives are different than the world’s
  • recognizing that though we are redeemed, we still are human
  • recognizing that we are working on God’s behalf and through the power of the Holy Spirit within us
  • having the courage to extend to others, even our enemies, the same gracious acts that God has shared with us
  • praying for others and ourselves
  • living our faith out in both our actions and also our words
  • breaking stereotypes and by making our spiritual community inclusive
  • addressing community needs both individually and as a group
  • intentionally reaching out to our community
